Outfit for London Fashion Weekend, constantly being plied with cupcakes at work (not complaining), double rainbow!, stationed next to the snack table on-board the Electric Barge, a delicious gift from a wonderful friend, current beauty favourites, view of Little Venice.

Perhaps I'll post iPhone photo compilations more often.

London Fashion Weekend

Wearing grey dress and moto from Topshop; lace top and fedora from H&M; bag from Michael Kors

Honestly, the number of extremely stylish guys and gals (mostly gals) at this event was overwhelming and serves as a real testament to London as a fashion capital! The whole day was just non-stop shoe envy, dress envy, hat envy, all on my part of course, but I had a blast at London Fashion Weekend! My cousin and I enjoyed navigating through quirky boutiques of up and coming names, lusting after blush pink/coral sweaters on the catwalk and sipping on Fernandez and Wells. Not to mention taking pretty rad mid-air photos over at the Canon 360 studio, and Kinder Bueno, lots and lots of Kinder Bueno. Lovely day, the best company and just amazing exposure to street style the London way.

So for the day I decided to slip on a grey tulle dress, layered under a cropped white lace top which I discovered fit very nicely with the Victoriana trend, I also threw on a pleather moto from Topshop just because I endorse moto with everything and anything. Finally, a fedora hat! Fedora for me officially signals the beginning of fall, which means maroon, dusty orange and plaid will also begin to emerge in all its autumnal glory. Another trend which I've been obsessing over is holographic shoes and bags, or what I like to call, oil slick. I've been sporting this futuristic look on my nails for a while now, thank you Topshop nail polishes, and I can't get enough of reflective, glossy finishes!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the series of photos above and let me know if you've been to another fashion weekend somewhere else in the world!

Gunmetal

Wearing jewelled top from Nasty Gal; cropped jacket from Primark; riding pants from American Apparel; shoes from Zara

As those from across the pond would more likely be inclined to hearing, happy hump day everyone! We from Britain are slightly  quite a lot less optimistic and tend only wish each other a Happy Friday when we finally make it to the end of the week. I must say though, with LFW as the carrot on the end of the stick, this week is going by at an unbearably slow pace, (coupled with being sick, again. As soon as the colder months come around my immune system cripples, withers, then dies, to leave me at the mercy of every single human I encounter with the sniffles.)  I digress, after seeing NYFW photos on every social media platform available, my cousin and I are so eagerly anticipating London Fashion Week/Weekend we've taken to tweeting a daily countdown of sorts.

My favourite collection? Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 14, oh for the combination of lace, pastel, and conservative yet flattering midi-length skirts will win my heart forevermore. Not to mention various pieces adorn with huge jewels and gemstones, as you can tell from the above top I'm wearing, that's one of my favourite things at the moment.

3 more days and counting! I'll be there this Saturday afternoon, so to any Londoners also around, please say hi!

Shy by Sydney Evan

You all know I am BIG on jewellery, especially jewellery that is literally big, statement and in-your-face. But a lot of times when I'm wearing more complex outfits, one of bold prints, multiple layers, different textures, there's nothing that quite ties an unafraid look together more than simple, clean cut jewellery. Here's where the "Shy" collection comes in.

You may be familiar with Sydney Evan's "Word" range, and if you are, you'll notice that Shy is a collection much more demure, yet, each piece accented with a full cut diamond, it's a collection just as impactful.

Here's my favourite.

Have a peek at the collection, and let me know yours.

In Denial :: Outfit Post

Bustier from Nasty Gal; shorts from New Look; Levis denim jacket from eBay; Double buckled belt from Miss Selfridge
How do fellow UK based fashion bloggers deal with waning natural daylight now that September has so quickly crept upon us and sunshine is but a myth? The lighting in my room has a habit of casting a gnarly yellow wash whenever I take photos and I’m not home from work early enough to catch any natural light. Huhu, suggestions would be very much appreciated.

On another note, I think the trick to wearing oversized pieces is to throw them over very form fitting or all black outfits. You don't want to look as though you're drowning in material layered on top of material, this way, you steer clear from the risk of looking bulky and the effortless oversized look is kept just that, effortless.

What would you wear with a denim jacket?
