Milano in White

Sandals from Birkenstock | jacket from Missguided | Topshop Leigh jeans | Monki tee

I purchased my first pair of Birkenstock sandals eight years ago, admittedly, at an impulse and in an embarrassed panic as the shoes I was wearing that day very literally fell apart on my feet. Picture me stumbling into a shoe shop, shoeless and desperate... Funny how this was at a time they were considered one of the most unsightly shoes, I received a lot of stick for them whereas now, every other person on the street is wearing a pair, how the tables have turned! Eight years on and yes they are still my summer shoe, slightly battered and scratched but they have stood the test of time and will no doubt be with me for another eight years! It's because I know Birkenstocks won't disintegrate on my feet that I decided to pick the Milano design in white to add to my modest collection. White footwear does mean I need to be more diligent with the upkeep, but slip these on with any outfit and you'll see that the maintenance is worth it.

With love~

  6. eight years, wow! sometime along the eight years back my feet kinda shrunk a little, so my shoes eight years ago are now too big for my feet, hahaha. those birkenstocks look like a great pair to go through another eight years with! btw great street look, cool shades there x

  7. I've had the same thing happen to me with flip flops (at a water park), which was pretty embarrassing, but at least we both got new shoes out of the ordeal! I love the blush color of the jacket. Lavender/light pink is a hard color for me to wear, but it looks great on you.
